2010 IDITAROD TALENT POOL IS DEEP

It's shaping up to be one of the deepest fields in Iditarod Race History, with ten mushers representing Canada, Italy, the United Kingdom and Jamaica already entered in this year's race.  Top that off with a field that includes fourteen top ten finishers and four Iditarod Champions (including three-peat champion Lance Mackey, four time champions Jeff King and Martin Buser and 2004 champion Mitch Seavey) and this year's race is already causing many Iditarod fans to smack their lips with excitement.  There are now sixty two mushers signed up for IDITAROD XXXVIII. Nearly a third of the field (20) is made up of rookies, including Jamaica's Newton Marshall, and Scotland's Wattie MacDonald.  Will 2010 be the year that Mackey shatters the record books with a fourth straight win? Will King or Buser pierce the void and tie Rick Swenson's five championships? Will it be the year for Mitch or son Dallas Seavey to take the crown.  So many what ifs! Iditarod Begins Production of New Documentary

The Iditarod Trail Committee is in the development stages of producing a documentary that depicts the rich history of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.  Part of the development process is looking for old photos and video of past races.  That's where you come in.  If you have photos or video of past Iditarod Races (especially the early years) and would like to share them in this documentary please contact us by clicking here.
