Nigel Brings a Bit of Luck To Friday the 13th
When Iditarod Rookie Nancy Yoshida encountered the infamous "Steps" one her way to Rainy Pass on March 10th, she ran into some terrible luck. She already had a broken runner, and while trying to navigate down and through the steps she crashed. In the process of recovering from the fall she realized one of her team members, Nigel, was loose. Nancy spent several hours trying to coax Nigel back. Finally, Nancy and her team moved forward to Rainy Pass in hopes that Nigel would follow. Today, Nigel showed up at the Talavista Lodge in Skwentna. Shortly after, Nigel and Nancy were reunited. A great way to celebrate Friday the 13th!
